New Delhi: Raju Srivastava, who suffered a heart attack while working out at the gym on Wednesday, August 10, is no more. After struggling to make it through Raju Srivastava breathed last today the family confirmed.
Raju was working out on the treadmill when he experienced chest pain and collapsed. He was brought to AIIMS Delhi by his trainer and was given CPR twice to resuscitate his heart.
Dr Nitish NNyay the chief doctor treating him had confirmed that Raju suffered multiple brain injuries during the attack. He was put on and off the ventilator several times.
Srivastava has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1980s but received recognition only in 2005 after he participated in the stand-up comedy show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge”.
He has appeared in Hindi films like “Maine Pyar Kiya”, “Baazigar”, “Bombay to Goa” and “Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya”. He was one of the contestants on “Bigg Boss” season three and also served as the chairman of the Film Development Council of Uttar Pradesh until his death.
