Having experienced a slow decline in collections since its second Monday, the war drama Border 2 starring Sunny Deol enjoyed a tremendous rebound in the box office on its third Saturday. According to the trade tracker Sacnilk, the film has collected 49.12 per cent growth in daily earnings, which amounts to 4.25 crore. This was a significant increase over Friday 2.85 crore collection, which showed that there was a fresh interest in the audience during the weekend.

Border 2 had recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 15.88% on Saturday in terms of occupancy. The opening of morning shows was on a relatively low key with 6.13% occupancy but there was a steady increase in the footfalls as the day went on. The occupancy of afternoon shows stood at 15.90 and even increased by 18.12 in the evening. The movie had its most successful reception in nighttime showing the highest occupancy of 23.35%.

In India, the nett collections had already reached 323.89 crore in the domestic box office as at the end of Day 14. It has 385.58 crore gross collections in the domestic market. The movie has also fared well in the foreign markets with a gross of 54.97 crore, which have made its total gross across the world to reach 440.55 crores.

These numbers have solidified the position of Border 2 among the biggest grossing Hindi films ever with an amount that exceeds the lifetime earnings of some of the previous blockbusters. The movie is currently nearing ₹450 crore mark on the global front.

Under the direction of Anurag Singh, Border 2 has a star-studded cast with Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty in the lead role, along with Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh.
