Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 is maintaining a steady, albeit measured, rhythm at the box office as it transitions into its second week. On Day 8 (Friday), the crime thriller garnered approximately Rs 1.75 crore in India, pushing its cumulative net earnings to roughly Rs 28.05 crore. While this reflects a natural dip from its opening week total of Rs 26.30 crore, the film is successfully navigating the typical weekday slowdown.
The third installment, directed by Abhiraj Minawala, continues to draw audiences primarily through evening and night shows, which saw occupancies peak at 17.60%. Interestingly, Mardaani 3 has already outperformed the first-week collections of the original 2014 Mardaani (Rs 23 crore), though it currently trails slightly behind the 2019 sequel’s pace.
Meanwhile, Border 2 ‘Border 2’ was welcomed with love and warmth. earned Rs 297.25 crore net at the domestic box office, a strong total by any measure. However, the trajectory of its collections raises concern. Of the overall earnings, Rs 224 crore came in the first week, while the remaining Rs 70 crore was added amid significant turbulence at theatres. Overall, the film’s collections have dropped by nearly 69% compared to its opening week.
Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta have reunited for Vadh 2, which released in theatres on February 6, 2026. Jaspal Singh Sandhu’s crime drama has opened to raving reviews from critics as well as audiences. It could emerge as the highest-grossing film in the franchise within 24 hours of its box office run. It is also worth noting that Vadh 2 will be allotted limited screens, which is a major drawback. The Hindi crime drama will compete with Border 2, Dhurandhar, Mardaani 3, and Mayasabha for footfalls.
