Mumbai: To the great relief of millions of Baburao fans across the country, veteran actor Paresh Rawal has finally confirmed his comeback in the highly anticipated ‘Hera Pheri 3’, playing his iconic and much-loved Baburao Ganpatrao Apte once again. It ends weeks of heated speculations, legal battles, and financial disputes that had hovered over the production of the film.

Rawal’s comment now puts the record straight, meaning the original and favorite trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Rawal himself is back on the track to deliver laughter on the big screen. The path to this confirmation has been far from smooth. Rumours of Rawal’s initial departure over concerns with the payment structure and a subsequent legal notice sent by Akshay Kumar’s production house had kept the future of the cult comedy franchise hanging in the balance. All these, however, are now stated to be resolved, opening the gates for the film to finally proceed with its signature cast.

Talking on a recent podcast, Paresh Rawal, in an openhearted interview, discussed the issue, highlighting the huge responsibility of bringing back such a beloved franchise. “When something is so beloved by people, we have to be very careful — it is our responsibility towards the audience. The audience is here to demonstrate love. You can’t take it for granted; you need to put in efforts and deliver deliver your best,” he said.

Rawal further explained that the temporary setbacks were a result of “fine-tuning” between the creative individuals involved, including director Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty, all of whom have been friends for many years. With the inimitable Baburao now firmly back in the fold, excitement for ‘Hera Pheri 3’ has reached an all-time high, promising a nostalgic and uproarious cinematic experience for legions of dedicated fans remembering the iconic dialogues like, “Tu ja reh.. tu ja..”.
