Reports state Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer adventure flick Brahmastra helmed by Ayan Mukherji is soon to commence shooting for its sequel and the sequel to its sequel. Well, this does sound shocking enough, however, excerpts from an exclusive interview reveal that parts 2 and 3 of Brahmastra: Part One Shiv will be initiated simultaneously.
Minting a whopping Rs 200 crore at the box office, Brahmastra took almost a decade to come into existence. Ranbir Kapoor in an exclusive conversation spoke about how the team is eager to begin the shoot for the next two parts of its trilogy.
Director Ayan Mukherji also revealed that the crew has begun explosring the storyline for the sequels in the pipeline. He took to his Instagram to thank the audience for the love they gave to the film and further revealed that he is back to work.
He wrote, “I didn`t think I would be ready to get back to work as soon as this first baby was delivered, but the Energy from our Audiences has given me the Energy to jump straight back into it…!”
`Brahmastra` crossed INR 300 crores (gross) worldwide on Monday and to celebrate the milestone, Ayan wrote, “BRAHMASTRA Part One is 11 days old today, and on this Monday (day of Shiv) putting out some good pure energy for…What the Film has achieved so far!”He added, “the Journey will continue over the next few weeks as the festive season comes upon us! All the Audience Feedback we have received (good, and not so good) – all of which we are absorbing and learning deeply from!!”
Brahmastra has now become Alia Bhatt’s second film to enter the exclusive Rs. 200 cr club. In fact, with Brahmastra performing well, Alia Bhatt now joins the likes of Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Kiara Advani who each have two films that have entered the Rs. 200 cr club.
If that was not all, with Brahmastra collecting Rs. 208 cr, Alia Bhatt climbs to the second sport in Bollywood’s Rs. 200 cr club, preceded by Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan who each have three films that have made it past the Rs. 200 cr club.
