New Delhi: Ananya Panday, who was questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for two days in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case, has denied consuming drugs or assisting Aryan Khan in obtaining them. The 22-year-old Bollywood star was reportedly summoned based on WhatsApp communications discovered on Aryan Khan’s phone, the details of which were disclosed by the anti-drugs agency. Her inquiry will resume on Monday. Aryan Khan, the superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, was arrested on October 2 after a drugs raid on a cruise ship party and has been in custody since October 8.

According to NCB sources, Ananya Panday was reportedly asked questions on chats that looked to show that she helped Aryan Khan in collecting weeds. NCB sources said, “The chats recovered from Aryan Khan’s mobile phone reveal that in the year 2018-19, she helped supply drugs to Aryan thrice by providing him the numbers of drug dealers.”

Ananya Panday’s name appears in a discussion that suggests she gave Aryan weeds three times, including once during a well-attended gathering. She rejected the supply-related discussions in the chat conversation, according to sources, and informed NCB officers that she had never consumed or supplied the drugs.

The anti-drugs agency searched her home in Mumbai’s Bandra yesterday, seizing her laptop and mobile phones. She was questioned for two hours yesterday and for four hours today. Ananya Panday is great friends with Suhana Khan, Aryan Khan’s sister, and they all have the same circle of friends.
