Bollywood: Anurag Kashyap who had wrapped up shooting for Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati starrer DoBaaraa in March this year underwent angioplasty recently. As per sources, the “Gangs of Wasseypur” director underwent angioplasty after he experienced mild chest pain.
A source informed them that an angiography revealed a few blockages in Anurag’s heart, because of which the filmmaker was soon admitted to the hospital. For now, he has been advised to rest for a week before he starts working again. A spokesperson of the 48-year-old maverick director said,” he is recovering and is advised a week-long break.”
On the work front, Anurag has several credits to his long journey in the industry. Some of his best works are Black Friday, Raman Raghav 2.0, and the Netflix Saga ‘Sacred Games’. He was last seen in ‘AK vs AK’, which was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. The film also starred Anil Kapoor. His last release as a director was the Netflix film ‘Choked’ (2020), starring Saiyami Kher and Roshan Mathew.
Meanwhile, post-production on DoBaara is going on in full swing. The film was officially announced in February and went on the floors in March. Anurag had posted a picture with his leading lady when they had started shooting for the film and had captioned the image as, “And we restart #DoBaaraa .. with all our love to all the haters“. The makers are describing DoBaaraa as a film that will make one wonder everything that revolves around them, questioning the reality that they are in.
