Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Animal” saw a dip in its box office performance on its 11th day, according to industry trackers. Despite the decline, the film’s daily earnings surpassed the opening days of many recent Bollywood releases. Notably, on its second Monday, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer garnered Rs 13 crore, marking a 65.28% drop from Sunday’s earnings of Rs 36 crore.

The film’s total domestic collection now stands at Rs 443.27 crore, with Rs 400.37 crore from the Hindi version, Rs 38.8 crore from Telugu, Rs 3.43 crore from Tamil, and Rs 0.56 crore and Rs 0.11 crore from Kannada and Malayalam versions, respectively.

While “Animal” faces competition with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” to become the all-time top grosser of Hindi cinema, the latter registered a collection of Rs 16.25 crore on its second Monday. Globally, “Animal” has amassed Rs 717.46 crore within 10 days of release. Notably, the film’s Hindi version has surpassed “KGF: Chapter 2” on the all-time list, with the Yash-starrer ending its theatrical run at Rs 434.70 crore. “Animal” currently ranks seventh among the biggest Hindi movies of all time on the global box office chart.

The film now faces its next challenge with the impending releases of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki” and Prabhas’ “Salaar” on December 21. As “Animal” progresses through its theatrical run, it has another week to climb the all-time box office charts. The current rankings are led by “Jawan” (Rs 643.87 crore), “Pathaan” (Rs 543.05 crore), “Gadar 2” (Rs 525.45 crore), and the Hindi version of “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (Rs 510.99 crore). “Animal” has proven its box office resilience despite a lengthy runtime and mixed reception, solidifying its position as a significant player in the contemporary Hindi film landscape.
