Mumbai: Bastar The Naxal Story box witnessed a further dip in its box office collections on its first Monday. Reportedly, the film has collected just over ₹2 crore nett in India since its release on Friday. Bastar: The Naxal Story is headlined by Adah Sharma.
The film earned ₹40 lakh on day 1 (Friday), ₹75 lakh on day two (Saturday) and ₹85 lakh on day three (Sunday). It collected ₹24 lakh nett in India on its fourth day (Monday), as per early estimates. So far, the film has earned ₹2.24 crore nett in India.
The film is based on the Naxal insurgency in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district. Adah Sharma plays the role of an IPS officer in the movie directed by Sudipto Sen. It is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The trio last worked together on The Kerala Story.
Starring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role, the film witnessed a slight dip in its numbers at the domestic box office on its first Monday. According to the sources, the action-packed film has earned ₹19 crore in India since its release. The film is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan.
The film minted ₹4.1 crore on day one, ₹5.75 crore on day two and ₹7 crore on day three. It earned ₹2.15 crore nett in India on its fourth day, as per early estimates. So far, the film has minted ₹19 crore in India.
Directed by debutant duo Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, the film also stars Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna. The high-octane action thriller film follows Arun Katyal, the commanding officer of an elite unit, the Yodha Task Force, on a thrilling rescue operation.
Meanwhile, Shaitaan saw a massive drop on its second Monday and clocked in ₹3 crore, as per early estimates. The Bollywood movie earlier saw a 14.71% jump in numbers on its second Sunday, earning ₹9.75 crore net in India.
