New Delhi: The National Film Awards 2024 is taking place today, October 8. The ceremony is hosted at Vigyan Bhavan and the honourable President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will present the awards to the 70th National Awards winners. This year, Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor award. Meanwhile, Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh have won Best Actress Awards. Mithun Chakraborty will be conferred with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

For everyone looking to tune in, the broadcast is scheduled to begin at 3 PM, starting with winners walking the red carpet before heading to the stage to receive their awards from President Droupadi Murmu.
This year’s Best Feature Film was chosen to be the Malayalam film Aattam: The Play. A performance that was loved by all – Rishab Shetty took home Best Actor for the Kannada hit Kantara, while the Best Actress award was shared by Nithya Menen for Thiruchitrambalam and Manasi Parekh for Kutch Express. Sooraj Barjatya earned the Best Director award for Unnchai, and Gulmohar was named as the Best Hindi Film. Actor Manoj Bajpayee received a special mention for his performance in the latter.
