The Congress’s INDIA bloc allies have questioned the party’s election strategy after its shocking loss in the Haryana assembly elections. They said the Mallikarjun Kharge-led party needs to rethink its strategy before assembly elections in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Delhi.
At the same time, the BSP supremo has given a big statement on the Haryana election results. Here Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party contested the elections in alliance with INLD. However, BSP has not won a single seat in the state. Now after the election results have come out, BSP chief Mayawati has targeted the casteists of the Jat community.
The BSP chief said that BSP and INLD fought the Haryana assembly general election in alliance but it is clear from today’s result that the casteist people of Jat community did not vote for BSP due to which BSP candidates lost by a small margin of votes on some seats, although all the votes of BSP were transferred.
Regarding the Haryana election results, BSP chief Mayawati said that the people of the Jat community in UP have changed their casteist mentality to a great extent and they have become MLAs from BSP and ministers in the government. The people of the Jat community in Haryana should also follow in their footsteps and change their casteist mentality, this is a special advice.
After trailing in the initial rounds during the counting of votes, the BJP made a stunning comeback and ended up winning 48 out of 90 seats. The Congress, which was touted to win the polls riding on anti-incumbency against the ruling party, could win only 37 seats.
Meanwhile, AAP leaders took a jibe at the Congress, saying the biggest lesson that can be drawn from the poll debacle is that one shouldn’t be overconfident. Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena-UBT and CPI also questioned the Congress’ strategy for the assembly elections.
