The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Parishad (UPMSP), Prayagraj will today (April 20) declare the UP Board Class 10 and 12 examination results. The High School and Intermediate result will be declared at 2 pm on the official websites of the UP board — upmsp.edu.in, upresults.nic.in
In 2023, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 stood at 89.78 per cent. Similarly, for Class 12 students, the pass percentage was recorded at 75.52 per cent. Additionally, the number of candidates appearing for the matric exams last year totaled 31,16,487. For the class 12 exams, the figure stood at 27,69,258 students. These numbers underscore the significant participation of students in both exams.
Candidates will be required to key in their registration number/ roll number and password to check the scorecard. This time, the inter exams were conducted by the board from February 22 to March 9, engaging a substantial total of 25,60,882 students. Among these examinees, 11,48,076 were girls, showcasing a significant representation, along with 4,12,806 boys. The UPMSP board exams for Class 12 were administered at 7,864 examination centers.
Data shared by the Uttar Pradesh board (UPMSP) shows that 55,08,206 students were registered for the Class 10 and 12 final exams, of whom 3,24,008 skipped it. The number of absentees has dropped since last year, when 4,31,571 candidates did not appear for their High School and Intermediate final examinations. It should be mentioned that the number of registered candidates was also less this year compared to 2023 when 58,85,745 candidates applied for the two exams.
As many as 27,68,180 students registered for the Uttar Pradesh Class 12 final exam in the previous year. As per the press release of the UPMSP, 25,71,002 students took the exam in Science, Arts and Commerce streams combined, and 19,41,717 or 75.52 per cent cleared it. This year, the UP board completed the evaluation work in a record time of just 12 days and has scheduled the result announcement for 2 pm today, April 20.
