If any candidate gets the following message/pop-up, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for the students who want to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2025. This advisory has been issued in response to various complaints received from candidates regarding technical issues in Aadhaar card authentication. While filling the online application form for JEE (Main)-2025, many students had raised their complaint to NTA seeking resolution of the discrepancy in the names in Aadhaar card and Class 10 educational certificate/marksheet.
“The registration for the online application Forms of the Joint Entrance Examinations (Main) – 2025 has started as per the Public Notice dated 28 October 2024. Subsequently, the NTA has been receiving grievances from few candidates regarding technical issue in Aadhaar Card authentication due to mismatch in names of the Aadhaar Card and 10th Educational Certificate/MMark Sheet while filling out the online application form for JEE (Main)-2025. To streamline the process for JEE (Main) 2025, the NTA has made slight modifications in the online application form to assist the candidates in completing their forms smoothly,” reads the official notification by the NTA.
The following steps are to be taken by the candidates to overcome such issues:
The candidate should click (X) in the message or pop-up box that appears after choosing “Confirm Name as per Aadhaar”:
. To continue with Aadhaar authentication, a new window will open on the screen after you close the pop-up box or message above. Candidates are required to enter their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhaar card in this step.
. During this process, the candidate’s name from the Aadhaar card and the educational certificate will be recorded, enabling them to proceed with the application.
. It is recommended that candidates review the preceding data and complete the application form appropriately.
