As many as 56 candidates, including two females, have scored full scores in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main), or JEE (Main), results of which were released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) late on Wednesday.
Karnataka’s Sanvi Jain and Delhi’s Shayna Sinha were the two female candidates to score 100 NTA score this year. According to NTA data, in session 1, 23 students achieved 100 percentile, Telangana recorded the highest number of 100 percentile holders with seven candidates, followed by three candidates each from Andhra.
This has also meant that the cut-off for the JEE (Advanced), which is the qualifying examination for entry into the premier Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) colleges, will have risen sharply. In fact, the cut-off for JEE (Advanced) recorded a five-year high this time.
The JEE (Main) is a computerized test conducted in two sessions: the first between January 24 and February 1 and the next between April 1 and April 15. In the first Session, 23 students scored in the hundredth NTA score.
In all, 10,67,959 students took the test, out of which, 250,284 now qualify to write the JEE (Advanced) test. Earlier on Monday, the NTA released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 session 2 final answer key.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main Session 2 on the official website of JEE Mains at jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates can download the result by using login credentials like application number and date of birth (DOB) at the official website of JEE Mains 2024.
It is important to note that the NTA conducted the JEE Mains 2024 exam in two sessions – January and April. The total number of JEE Main registrations in both sessions was over 24 lakh — 12,21,624 in session 1 and 12.57 lakh in session 2. The best of the candidate’s scores in JEE Main will be considered while preparing the final merit list.
