Results of the NEET PG 2025 were officially announced by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on Tuesday. Applicants who took the test are in a position to be able to print out their respective scorecards and ranks by logging in to the official sites – natboard.edu.in or nbe.edu.in.

  • General/Unreserved (Open) 276
  • PwD (Open): 255
  • SC ST OBC (including PwD): 235

The NEET PG 2025 test passed smoothly on 3 August 2025 in one shift in 301 cities and 1052 examination centres. Over 2.42 lakh candidates took the computer-based mode test. In order to make the operations conduction easy and fair, NBEMS had put in place stringent security arrangements and posted more than 2,200 faculty members of different medical colleges and hospitals in an observer role.

Exam Overview

The test was composed of 200 multiple-choice questions in English, whereby four choices of answers were provided for each question. The exam had to be done in 3 hours and 30 minutes by the candidates. According to the marking scheme, there was a 25 percent negative marking on wrong answers, but an unattempted question received zero marks.

Important Highlights about NEET PG 2025 Result

Declaration of Result: The candidates are now able to access their marks and ranks online portals of NBEMS.

No Normalisation Used: As per the order sheet of the Supreme Court of May 30, 2025, the exam was conducted in a single shift, thus not needing to normalise any score.

Cut-off Criteria: Were clearly spelled out based on the category-wise benchmarks as above.

Question Paper Review: The questions were revised by subject experts, and none were technically incorrect.

NEET PG is the eligibility cum ranking examination in MD/MS/ PG Diploma and the Post-MBBS DNB/DrNB (years direct admission 6) and the NBEMS diploma programme in the 2025-26 academic session. NBEMS has explained that it has no role but to conduct the exam and to publish the results.
