The India Post has already carried out the process of recruitment for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts of 2025. The department does not pose any written exam as part of the selection process; all candidates are shortlisted on purely merit, scored on the basis of Class 10 marks. The GDS posts have taken thousands of aspirants around the country who are now waiting desperately for the India Post GDS 4th Merit List 2025 to be released.

Up until now, the postal department has already released the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd merit lists on its official site. On 21st March 2025, the allotment merit list was published, the 2nd allotment merit list on 21 st April 2025 and the 3rd allotment merit list on 19th May 2025. Subject to this trend, the India Post GDS 4th Merit List 2025 is likely to come out in the third week of June, i.e., during 3rd week of June 2025, say 19th or 20th June 25. Candidates are, however, recommended to await the official confirmation and go through the official India Post website to keep up to date.

Applicants are able to download the merit list in PDF format and find their names so as to determine whether they have been shortlisted to attend the document verification exercise. The merit list is supposed to indicate an increase in cut-off marks in different categories. The cut-off marks likely to be released in the 4th merit list shall be as follows (going by the past trends):

  • General 90 -95
  • OBC 85 – 90
