Results of the Class 12 exam held by the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) were declared on Tuesday, with a stark district-wise difference in performance. Jind district became the best-performing district, and Nuh district registered the lowest pass percentage in the state. The board brought this imbalance to light in the official declaration of the result, though it did not provide percentages for each district.

This year, the overall pass percentage among regular students was at 85.66%, a record high figure, which suggests that there was excellent academic performance throughout the state. However, private candidates did poorly with a pass percentage of 63.21%. From the students who sat for the regular academic stream out of 1,93,828 students, 1,66,031 students passed in examination while 7,900 students failed in examination.

Girls did better than boys, thus showing a consistent trend of recent years. The pass percentage among girls was 89.41%, far higher as compared to 81.86% recorded among males. Regarding the types of schools, government schools performed better with a success rate of 86.98% as compared with private establishments with a success rate of 84.67%.

Another fine observation made was the marginal difference between the urban and rural schools. The urban area schools managed to achieve a pass rate of 85.94 percent and slightly above the rural schools with an 85.64 percent pass rate.

HBSE Chairman Dr. Pawan Kumar and Vice Chairman Satish Kumar collectively announced the results and stressed about constant efforts to improve under-performing regions such as Nuh. In order to check the results online, the students can visit the official website of the board at www.bseh.org.in and enter their roll number along with other required login details.

The board hopes that this performance analysis to be able to support and provide resources in a targeted manner for the next academic session.
