Geeta Bhukkal, an Education Minister and Congress MLA has made allegations against the BJP JJP government in Haryana. She claims that the government has failed to care for the state’s education system. According to her, there is a shortage of teachers in schools, and the essential needs of institutions have been neglected.
Bhukkal brings attention to a trend where more and more students are opting for schools due to the evident shortcomings in government schools. She believes that the lack of facilities and insufficient teaching staff are the reasons behind this shift.
She refers to an affidavit recently presented by the state government in court revealing some statistics. Shockingly 538 schools do not have toilets for girls, which raises concerns about hygiene and safety. Additionally, 131 schools do not have access to drinking water, which poses risks to students’ well-being. Furthermore, inadequate electricity infrastructure affects the learning environment in 236 schools.
The accusations made by Geeta Bhukkal highlight the need for the government to prioritize revitalizing the education system. It is crucial that students have access to quality education with facilities and a sufficient number of teachers. To overcome these difficulties is essential to protect students’ future in Haryana and uphold the authenticity of the state’s education system.
