The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced rescheduling the ISC Class 12 Psychology exam due to the unfortunate incident of the question paper packet being misplaced at an examination center. Originally slated for March 27, 2024, the exam will now occur on April 4, 2024, at 2 pm.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, CISCE stated, “The ISC Year 2024 Examination Centre reported the loss of the Question Paper packet for the upcoming ISC Year 2024 Psychology Examination. In light of this, the ISC Year 2024 Psychology Examination, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024, has been postponed. The examination has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2 pm.”
Furthermore, the board emphasized the importance of promptly handing over the question papers for the ISC Psychology Examination, originally planned for March 27, 2024, to the convener of the center. Sangeeta Bhatia, the deputy secretary, assured that a fresh set of question papers would be dispatched to the convener of each school shortly.
This incident follows the previous postponement of the ISC Class 12 Chemistry Theory paper 1, which was initially scheduled for February 26. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the rescheduling saw the paper being moved to March 21.
The original examination schedule commenced on February 12 and was expected to conclude on April 3. However, with the recent developments necessitating rescheduling, students and educational institutions are urged to stay updated with the latest notifications from CISCE to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations.
Overall, the board strives to maintain the integrity and fairness of the examination process, ensuring that students’ academic interests are protected amidst unforeseen challenges.
