The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated legal action against two Delhi schools; Manava Bhawna Public School, Nathupura Main Road, Burari, and Sat Saheb Public School, C-Block, Som Bazar, Nanhey Park, Uttam Nagar for allegedly submitting fraudulent land certificates in their applications for affiliation. The move underscores the Board’s commitment to ensuring compliance with its regulations and maintaining transparency in the affiliation process.

According to a CBSE statement, it was discovered that the submitted land certificates were neither genuine nor issued by the relevant authorities. The Board noted that it grants affiliation to schools based on the conditions outlined in its Affiliation Bye-Laws 2018, with documents undergoing rigorous verification processes, including validation from issuing authorities.

“While considering the applications, the board conducts a very strict scrutiny of the essential documents submitted by the schools and, in order to establish the genuineness, the documents are also verified from the issuing authority,” Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Secretary Himanshu Gupta said.

Additionally, CBSE has cautioned schools against participating in events organised by the ‘CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society’ (CBSE-WSO), clarifying that the organisation has no affiliation with the Board.
