The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board 10th and 12th examinations are starting today from 15 February. According to the CBSE Board Time Table 2025, the class 10 board exam 2025 will start from 15 February 2025 with English (Communicative), English (Language and Literature) subjects. The class 12th exam will start with Entrepreneurship. More than 44 lakh students will participate in this examination which will be held from 15 February to 4 April across the country.

Students have been asked to bring their school ID along with the admit card to the examination centers, and the administration of government and private schools has asked their teachers to make special arrangements. CBSE board exams will be held in a single shift, in which the candidates will have to reach the exam center one to half an hour before. Class 10th and 12th exams will run on February 17, February 18, March 1, March 3, March 5, March 12 and March 18, 2025 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

● CBSE said that no student will be allowed to enter the examination centre after 10 am; it is mandatory to come half an hour before the start of the examination.

● The exam will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, some subjects will be from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Students will be given 15 minutes before the exam starts so that they can read all the questions thoroughly.

● Private students will appear for the exam in light or bright coloured clothes; Regular students will be required to appear for the exam in school uniform.

● Students must bring their admit card; school ID card is required for regular students while private students must also bring a government photo identity proof.

● Students should keep geometry related items (like pencil box, royal blue and blue ink, scale, ball point, gel pen) in a transparent pouch. Do not keep books, paper, calculator etc. with you.

● Mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, smart watches, cameras, wallets, goggles, handbags, communication devices, scanners, log table pens and pen drives will be banned.

Action will be taken against students who violate the rules

Strict action will also be taken in case of irregularities at the examination centre or violation of board guidelines. It is mandatory for students to wear school uniform and their exam results will be cancelled if they are caught cheating or using banned equipment. They will also not be allowed to appear in the next year’s exam. Action will also be taken against students who spread rumours related to the exam or disrupt the exam.
