The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official CBSE Date Sheet for Board Examinations 2025 for both Class 10 and Class 12 students. This timely release announced 86 days before the first exam, allows students ample opportunity to plan and prepare effectively.
Class 10 practicals will commence on January 1, 2025, while Class 12 practicals will begin on February 15, 2025. The board previously outlined the division of marks across theory, practicals, projects, and internal assessments. Class 12 practicals will be conducted under the supervision of an external examiner, whereas Class 10 practicals will be overseen by the respective school teachers.

Board Datesheet: No Open Book Exam
The CBSE has clarified that open book exams will not be introduced, and there is no reduction in the syllabus for Classes 10 and 12. For the 2025 board exams, the only update is the subject-wise marks distribution. Each subject will carry a maximum of 100 marks, divided primarily between theory and the rest allocated for practicals, internal assessments, and projects.
