AAP candidate from Kalkaji and Chief Ministerial candidate Atishi inaugurated the crowdfunding campaign on Sunday to fund her Delhi Assembly elections. Atishi stated this at a press conference in Delhi while pointing out the online donation link; she noted that she needs ₹40 lakh to fund her election campaign.

Atishi posited that the AAP has always received small donations from people for work and being genuine in its politics. She said that citizens would continue to provide backing and appreciate the party’s work and the focus on the public good alongside decency.

Atishi went to the X social media platform to write about her political experience and the people of Delhi. “Over the past 5 years, you’ve stood by me as an MLA, a minister, and now as the Chief Minister of Delhi. None of this would have been possible without your blessings and support,” she said. She also recognized the faith and financial support of the supporters, which made it possible for a young, educated woman like her to build a political career.

She called on the public to contribute to her campaign, saying, “As we head to another election campaign, I again need your support.”

Earlier this month, senior AAP leader and Jangpura candidate Manish Sisodia also created a crowdfunding campaign asking people to contribute to his campaign.

All seventy Delhi Assembly constituencies are yet to be contested on February 5, and the counting of votes is to take place on February 8. AAP, which won 67 seats in 2015 and 62 in 2020, is seeking a third straight term. On the other hand, the BJP is focusing on increasing its performance beyond previous elections, and Congress too is keen to show its dominance again in Delhi.
