The BJP came out with its second manifesto today, due for the Delhi Assembly elections 2025 featuring major measures for education and youth. The party promised free education “from KG to PG” for the underprivileged in all Government educational institutions in the city if it gained political power.

Presenting the ‘Sankalp Patra’ for Delhi, BJP MP Anurag Thakur spelt out other policies targeted at the youth of Delhi. Competitive examination students were given one-time financial assistance of ₹15000, which was also declared to be provided. Further, the manifesto provides reimbursement of travel expenses and application fees for competitive examinations up to twice, which helps to reduce the additional burden on the desired candidates.

This is the second instalment of BJP’s promises as part of its Lok Sabha election campaign; last, the party unveiled its first 10 commitments, all of which were centred around the welfare of women. Released by BJP president JP Nadda, the first ‘Sankalp Patra’ presented programmes to empower women and safeguard the rights of elders. Some of the electoral vows include a women’s self-help box of ₹2,500 for a month and ₹21,000 for a pregnant woman, an LPG cylinder priced at ₹500, and a pension for elderly persons of ₹2,500 every month.

In particular, commenting on the manifesto, Nadda said that the proposals of the BJP are an effective counter to the AAP welfare-oriented system. He said that the pledges outlined in it are the attempts to create the prerequisites for the “developed Delhi” by satisfying the critical demands of the city.

In its two-part structure, the BJP manifesto attempts to appeal to middle-class voters, minorities such as women, students and senior citizens, as well as segments that are disillusioned with the political process and appear to uphold a message of development for all.
