New Delhi: A big drug racket has been busted in Gujarat on Sunday during a joint operation by the Special Cell of Delhi Police and Gujarat Police. 518 kg of cocaine worth Rs 5000 crore has been recovered during a raid at the premises of a private company. This action was taken on the basis of important evidence found in the case of drugs seized from the warehouses located in Mahipalpur and Ramesh Nagar in Delhi during the raid in Gujarat.
According to the information, Delhi Police raided the warehouse of a person named Tushar Goyal in Mahipalpur on October 1 and seized 562 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana. During interrogation, the police got information about a shop in Ramesh Nagar, where additional drugs were suspected to be present. On October 10, 208 kg of cocaine was recovered by raiding this shop.
Police is questioning the employees
Investigation of the seized drugs revealed that they were sent to Delhi from a private company located in Ankleshwar, Gujarat. The police team informed the Gujarat Police about this, after which the raid was conducted. The police have detained the company’s employees for questioning and issued a notice to the company’s owner. A complaint has also been lodged in this regard at the local police station.
