Gurmeet Ram-Rahim Parole Again: ‘Rapist Ram Rahim’ is out of jail again. Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who is serving a sentence for raping his female disciples and for the murder of journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati, has been granted 40 days’ parole. The Haryana government on Wednesday evening granted 40 days’ parole to the Dera Sacha Sauda chief, who is lodged in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail. During the parole, Ram Rahim will stay at Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa, Haryana.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been incarcerated in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail since 2017. This is the 15th time he has been released from prison in the last eight years. He was released three times in 2025. The previous parole period was 40 days. This time, parole has been granted for the same number of days.
According to reports, Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s parole was approved yesterday evening. Following this, the jail administration has initiated the process for his release. During his parole, Ram Rahim will be required to adhere to certain conditions and will not be able to participate in any events outside the Sirsa Dera premises. The administration will closely monitor his activities.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been incarcerated in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail since 2017. He was sentenced to life imprisonment (20 years) for the rape of two sadhvis. He was also convicted in the murder case of journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati. Since these cases, Ram Rahim has been released from jail on parole and furlough several times. This has sparked political and social controversy.
