New Delhi: The Special Staff of the Southern District has apprehended a criminal involved in incidents of snatching from foreign women. The accused has been identified as Kishan Thakur. Recently, he targeted foreign women in the Lodhi Colony and Hazrat Nizamuddin areas, engaging in robberies. According to Police Officer Chandan Choudhary, the incident occurred on October 8 when two criminals on a bike snatched a bag from a Hungarian woman traveling near Dayal Singh College. The bag contained a mobile phone and Rs. 12,000.
Another incident involved a Tanzanian woman who was also targeted by two motorcycle-borne criminals. The apprehension of the accused, Kishan Thakur, took place near Sabhapur Bus Stand, in Delhi.
These incidents highlight the menace of street crime targeting foreign nationals, causing concern for the safety of residents and visitors alike.
