Ludhiana: In Ludhiana, Punjab, a horrifying incident unfolded as a 9-year-old innocent girl was scalded when her landlady threw boiling water on her. The child suffered severe burns on her back and chest. Hearing her screams, nearby residents rushed to her aid, and she was promptly taken to the Civil Hospital. After initial treatment, doctors referred her to the hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh Road. The police have been informed, and a case has been registered against the woman at the Daresi Police Station in the Santokh Nagar area of New Shivpuri.
The victim’s father, Parvez Alam, revealed that his daughter was cleaning utensils at home when the landlady, Shama, asked her about the water motor. When the girl replied that she didn’t operate it, Shama became enraged and struck her on the head with a stick. Subsequently, the woman poured boiling water on the child, causing severe injuries. The scalding water left the girl in agony, screaming for help. On hearing the commotion, people rushed to the scene and transported her to the hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the accused woman is currently at large. The police have initiated an investigation and registered a case against her. The incident highlights the brutal and heart-wrenching nature of the assault on an innocent child within the confines of her home.
