Karnataka DGP Objectionable Viral Video: An obscene video of Karnataka DGP Ramachandra Rao has gone viral. The Karnataka government on Monday suspended senior IPS officer K Ramachandra Rao with immediate effect, pending an inquiry, after videos allegedly showing him acting in an “obscene manner” circulated widely on television and digital media platforms.
In the video, the Karnataka DGP is seen wearing a uniform while on duty and doing obscene acts with women in his office chamber. In this secretly recorded footage, the officer is seen hugging and kissing the woman. He is also seen kissing the breasts of women. There has been an uproar in Karnataka after the obscene video of senior IPS officer Ramachandra Rao went viral. Ramachandra Rao is posted as DGP (Civil Rights Enforcement) in Karnataka. Let us tell you that Ranya Rao, daughter of Karnataka DGP and senior IPS officer Ramachandra Rao, has also been arrested for smuggling.
Actor Ranya Rao, rejected the allegations outright, insisting the video was fake and that he had no knowledge of its origin. Dismissing the claims, Rao said that the clip circulating online was not genuine and were generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI). “I am shocked. It is all fabricated, a lie. The video is all false. I have no idea about it,” he said.
Chief minister Siddaramaiah said the matter would be investigated and made it clear that the officer’s seniority would not come in the way of action.
“We will get it investigated,” the chief minister said. He added, “I got to know about it in the morning. We will initiate disciplinary action against him. No one is above the law, notwithstanding how senior the police officer is.”
Responding to the case, DGP Ramachandra Rao has stated in his defense that the video has been doctored to defame him. He claimed that some people are deliberately harassing him. Currently, the administration is focused on verifying the authenticity of the video. The incident has drawn sharp public criticism as it has severely damaged the moral credibility of the police force.
