Authorities have initiated an investigation following the discovery of a significant fraud at Flipkart delivery centers in Ernakulam district, where mobile phones valued at ₹1.61 crore disappeared. The case was officially filed on Thursday by the Ernakulam Rural Cyber Police after receiving a complaint from Flipkart’s compliance officer.

Officials reported that the fraudulent activity was uncovered when Flipkart noticed unusual patterns at its delivery hubs in Kanjoor, Kuruppampady, Mekkad, and Muvattupuzha. An internal audit indicated that several high-end smartphones had been ordered using false identities and fictitious delivery addresses.

The FIR identifies four suspects: Siddiqy K Aliyar, Jassim Dileep, Haris P A, and Mahin Noushad, who were employees tasked with overseeing these specific hubs. Between August 8 and October 10, 2025, they allegedly placed 332 fake orders on the Flipkart platform utilizing various mobile numbers and fabricated customer information.

The stolen devices included luxury models from brands like Apple (iPhone), Samsung Galaxy, Vivo, and iQOO, resulting in a total loss of ₹1.61 crore for the company. Law enforcement believes that these staff members misused their access to redirect packages before they could be delivered. Investigators are currently analyzing digital records along with call data and internal logs to uncover how this scheme took shape.
