Pune: The father of the 17-year-old child who killed two IT professionals in the Pune neighborhood of Kalyani Nagar on Tuesday was taken into custody by the police. The father of the adolescent is reportedly being transported to Pune from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, according to the local police.
According to accounts, the teenager was intoxicated when the porche struck two motorbike riders fatally early on Sunday morning. The criminal section has now taken over the investigation of these instances. According to sources, which cited Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, police said, “We captured the teenager’s father from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and he has been taken to Pune and will be prosecuted in the case registered against him.”
A case under the Juvenile Justice Act (sections 75 and 77) had been filed by the police against the father of the teenage boy, a real estate agent. The proprietors and staff of the pub were also charged with serving alcohol to a person who was under the legal drinking age. Within the Juvenile Justice Act, section 75 deals with “deliberate neglect of a child, or subjecting a child to mental or physical illnesses,” and section 77 deals with giving alcohol or narcotics to a minor.
The guy knew that his kid did not have a legal driver’s license, yet he nevertheless gave his youngster the automobile anyhow, endangering his life. Despite being fully aware that his son consumes alcohol, he also permitted his son to go to parties.
After the mishap, the juvenile was taken into custody, but the Juvenile Justice Board released him on bond after 15 hours. The board ordered him to write a “300-word essay” about traffic accidents in order to be released on bond.
The board ordered him to attend alcohol rehabilitation, work with the Yerawada traffic police for fifteen days, get treatment for alcoholism, and take part in psychological counseling, according to defense attorney Prashant Patil. The buddies had attended a party, and at around 3:15 on Sunday morning, they were out on their motorcycles. Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa, two 24-year-old Madhya Pradesh IT professionals, were killed when their motorcycles and a speeding Porsche collided at the Kalyani Nagar intersection.
