Delhi Encounter: Delhi Police has killed four gangsters from Bihar in an encounter in Delhi’s Rohini area. This includes Ranjan Pathak, the leader of the notorious Sigma & Company gang. The gangsters belonged to the Ranjan Pathak gang, and the gang kingpin, 25-year-old Ranjan Pathak, was also among those killed. The other gangsters were identified as Bimlesh Mahto (25), Manish Pathak (33) and Aman Thakur (21). The gang was plotting to carry out bombings and spread terror before the Bihar elections. The operation was carried out by a joint team of the Delhi Police Crime Branch and the Bihar Police.

A team from the Crime Branch and Bihar Police cordoned off the Rohini Sector-28 area late Wednesday night. At around 2:20 a.m., when police attempted to stop a suspicious car, the criminals inside suddenly opened fire. Police returned fire. A fierce exchange of fire ensued for approximately 15 minutes.

All four criminals were shot during the exchange of fire. They were immediately rushed to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital (BSA) in Rohini, where doctors declared them dead. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and a luxury car were recovered from the encounter site.

According to the police, these four accused were wanted in several serious crimes in Bihar. It is reported that this gang was notoriously known as “Sigma and Company,” and its leader was Ranjan Pathak. This gang operated from Nepal to Bihar. Ranjan Pathak is the same criminal who sent his biodata to media personnel after a famous murder in Sitamarhi. Recently, Bihar Police received an audio call from this gang, which revealed that this gang was plotting to spread terror in the state before the Bihar elections. The police had been searching for this gang for a long time.
