It is reported that the assailants initially subjected the woman to a merciless beating and, when unsatisfied, resorted to multiple stabbings. The victim, in critical condition, has been admitted to Begusarai’s Sadar Hospital for ongoing treatment.
This incident occurred in Malhipur village within the Bhagwanpur Thana region. The injured woman is identified as Reena Devi, wife of Congress Paswan residing in Malhipur village under the Bhagwanpur Thana area. The entire incident is linked to a land dispute, with the woman’s family explaining that a conflict over land is ongoing with a person known for his criminal reputation in the village.
Allegedly, the perpetrator aims to forcibly seize land and construct a house. When confronted about this, the assailants attempted to fatally harm Reena Devi. According to family members, Reena Devi had gone to fetch water in the evening when she was accosted by the thugs. They beat her ruthlessly and, unsatisfied with the beating, proceeded to stab her in multiple places, causing extensive harm to her body.
Family members further allege that the same criminals from the village had forcibly taken possession of Reena Devi’s land and built a house on it. This incident is not the first time these individuals have resorted to violent acts.
The family is now seeking justice for Reena Devi, and the case underscores the need for urgent attention to address escalating crimes against women and land-related disputes in the region. Authorities are urged to take swift action to ensure justice for the victim and prevent such incidents from recurring.
