Bareilly: In the village of Kharsaini, located within the jurisdiction of Shahi Police Station, in the district, a 68-year-old woman was tragically murdered. Her lifeless body was discovered on Monday evening in her sugarcane field with a noose tightly wrapped around her neck. This horrifying incident adds to the distressing count of six women who have suffered a similar fate in the same area covered by Shahi Police Station. The local community is now filled with fear and unease as these tragic events continue to occur.

The victim, named Gulabo Devi, was found in her field on Monday evening, two days after she had gone missing. She had been living alone following her husband’s passing. Her body was found with a wound noose around her neck. Covered with grass and leaves. Interestingly her slippers and walking stick were discovered five meters away from where the body was found. A villager noticed the body. Promptly reported it to the authorities.

Inspector Satish Kumar Nain swiftly arrived at the crime scene along, with a police team. Additional Superintendent of Police Mukesh Chandra Mishra, and Chief Investigation Officer Deepshikha as both the Dog Squad and Forensic Team, were promptly deployed to investigate this incident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan instructed the investigation of the crime scene to accelerate the revelation of information regarding the murdered Gulabo Devi.

Dr. Rakesh Singh, Inspector General of the Range, stated that an extensive operation lasting two months had been carried out in the Shahi Police Station area by a team. The brutal murder of Gulabo Devi mirrors previous cases in Shahi, prompting questions about a potential serial offender. Authorities are diligently working towards unraveling the mystery behind these heinous crimes, and the community remains on edge as the investigation unfolds.
