Ujjain: In a distressing incident in Ujjain city, Madhya Pradesh, a 12-year-old girl was subjected to a horrific rape, resulting in her being found bleeding on a street. Law enforcement swiftly took action, arresting an auto driver identified as Rakesh, aged 38, while three other individuals were detained in connection with the crime. The survivor’s harrowing journey was captured on CCTV cameras, covering an 8-kilometre stretch as she desperately sought help.

The survivor had initially boarded an auto in Jeevan Kheri, and CCTV footage from this ride was obtained as part of the investigation. Police discovered bloodstains inside the auto, prompting a forensic examination.

Sachin Sharma, the Police Superintendent in Satna, disclosed that a missing report for the minor girl had been filed a day before the incident came to light. The investigation revealed that the girl had encountered five individuals at different locations, all of whom were being questioned. Notably, one of the three individuals detained in connection with the case was also an auto driver.

The victim, who was subjected to this heinous act and found bleeding on the street, underwent surgery conducted by a team of specialist doctors. Her condition is described as critical but stable.

The incident came to public attention when a video of the girl, bleeding and walking on the street, went viral on social media. Consequently, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Mahakal police station, and an intensive investigation into the rape of the minor girl is underway.

In response to the massive public outrage, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra announced the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to probe this shocking and deeply distressing crime.
