On Monday, Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, announced fresh multi-sectoral investments for Madhya Pradesh worth more than ₹1.10 lakh crore. He claimed that these investments will generate more than 120,000 jobs in the state by 2030.

Speaking at the MP Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025, Adani said that the Group is negotiating with the state government on a coal-gasification project, an airport project, and a greenfield smart city, all of which would require an extra ₹1,00,000 crore in investment.

The group’s journey in the state “is far from over,” he asserted. “Today, I am proud to announce new investments of over ₹1,10,000 crore in the areas of pumped storage, cement, mining, smart meters, and thermal energy. These multi-sectoral investments will create more than 120,000 jobs in Madhya Pradesh by 2030,” he said.

According to Adani, the initiatives are not only investments; rather, they are significant turning points in a shared journey that would position the state as a leader in the country’s industrial and economic development. “Now, as Madhya Pradesh takes this leap forward, the Adani Group is proud to stand beside you. We have already invested more than ₹50,000 crore across energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, logistics, and agribusiness, creating over 25,000 jobs. But our journey here is far from over,” he said.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has been reshaped forever, he said. “You have transformed our country from a nation that once followed global trends to one that now defines them,” Adani said, mentioning programs that have pushed the economy into a period of independence and innovation, such as Make in India, Digital India, and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

“When a nation believes in itself, the world believes in it,” Adani said, adding that the PM’s constant efforts have been the driving force behind the revival of belief. Adani said that Madhya Pradesh is now among the most investment-ready states in India due to the state’s leadership and unwavering emphasis on infrastructure development and ease of doing business.

“The projected GSDP (gross state domestic product) of over ₹15 lakh crore in FY25 is a testament to your pro-business vision and commitment to growth. Leadership is not just about building roads and bridges; it is about paving the way for endless possibilities. And you are creating these for Madhya Pradesh,” he said addressing Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
