New Delhi: The full budget for the year 2024-25 will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on July 23, announced Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday. The minister has summoned both Houses of the Parliament for the Budget Session 2024 from 22nd July to 12th August.
FM Sitharaman had presented the interim budget in February. This year, she will become the first finance minister in Indian history to present a seventh consecutive budget. This budget will play a pivotal role in outlining the government’s economic priorities, fiscal strategies, and expenditure plans for the fiscal year 2024-25.
India’s defense production has achieved a historic milestone reaching Rs. 1.27 lakh crores in the last fiscal year. This means a 16.7 percent increase over the last financial year.
Retail inflation too maintained a downward trajectory, hitting a year low. This decline is mainly attributed to a slight reduction in food prices.
