ED Action On Anil Ambani: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken major action against Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group. ED has attached properties worth Rs 3084 crore of Anil Ambani Group in the loan fraud case. The properties which have been attached include his residence located in Pali Hill, Bandra West, Mumbai. Additionally, many properties in Delhi-Noida have also been sealed. These attachment orders were issued on 31 October 2025 under Section 5(1) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The case is related to alleged loan fraud. Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group has yet to issue a statement on the matter. According to sources, Ambani’s office, Reliance Centre, located in Delhi’s Hotel Ranjit, is also among the properties seized.

Action from Delhi, Mumbai to Noida
The properties belonging to Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group that have been attached during the action taken by the Enforcement Directorate include office premises, residential units and plots in Pali Hill residence in Mumbai, Reliance Centre property in New Delhi and several other properties located in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Hyderabad, Chennai (including Kanchipuram) and East Godavari. All these properties have been attached under four orders issued under PMLA. It is worth noting that Anil Ambani’s residence located in Pali Hill, Bandra West, Mumbai is quite popular.

An official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that assets worth approximately ₹3,000 crore have been provisionally seized as part of the money laundering investigation. However, Reliance Group has already denied the allegations. The ED’s investigation is linked to a ₹17,000 crore scam involving loans taken from approximately 20 public and private banks.

The ED also found that between 2017 and 2019, Yes Bank illegally provided loans to Anil Ambani’s companies, which were later diverted. The investigation revealed that funds were sent to bank promoters before the loans were approved. It is also alleged that several companies received loans first and the documents were prepared later. There were also some cases where the loans were not even approved, but the funds were already transferred.
