Bharti Airtel recently revealed that Ajay Chitkara will be stepping down from his role as CEO of Airtel Business. In response to this news the telecommunications giant underwent a restructuring process with regards to its enterprise operations. As part of these changes – and to ensure better efficiency in all facets – the enterprise unit was split into three separate entities – each with their own designated head person driving forward progress and success within their area of expertise.
The Global business segment will be led by Vani Venkatesh, who will oversee Airtel Business’ international operations and expansion strategies. Ganesh Lakshminarayanan will head the Domestic business segment, focusing on driving growth and strengthening Airtel Business’ presence in the domestic market. Ashish Arora will lead the Nxtra Data Centers segment, which aims to expand and enhance Airtel’s data center offerings.
Ajay Chitkara will continue to be associated with Bharti Airtel until the third week of August 2023, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities.
