The Adani Group is planning to invest in Google’s data center project for Alphabet Inc.’s Google India. The Adani Group is planning to invest $5 billion in Google’s Indian AI data center project, an executive announced on Friday.

Google’s upcoming data centre in Visakhapatnam is set to be the largest one outside the United States. The 1 GW data centre campus is set to have an AI infrastructure, new large-scale energy sources, and an expanded fibre-optic network.

According to the executive, the Adani Group is planning to capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for data capacity and is considering acquiring a stake in Google’s data centers, which last month announced its largest data center investment in India.

Earlier in October, Google had announced that it would invest $15 billion to build an AI (Artificial Intelligence) data center in India (Adani Group with Google Investment). This will be Google’s biggest investment in India till date and will be made in five years.
