Saharsa. Saharsa district is fully prepared for voting in the first phase of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Voting will take place tomorrow, November 6th, in four assembly constituencies: Saharsa, Sonvarsha, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, and Maheshpur. The district administration has completed all preparations to conduct a peaceful and fair election.

A total of 1,566 polling stations have been set up in these four assembly constituencies of Saharsa district. Approximately 1.296 million voters will exercise their franchise at these centers. All necessary facilities, including drinking water, ramps, toilets, and electricity, have been ensured at the polling stations to ensure voters do not face any difficulties.

Dispatch of EVMs and VVPATs continues

The district administration began dispatching EVM and VVPAT machines ahead of Bihar Assembly Elections. Polling personnel are being sent to polling booths amid tight security arrangements. Officials are personally monitoring the process to ensure that election materials reach every booth safely and on time.

Tight security arrangements for peaceful polling

To prevent any disturbances or chaos during the elections, the administration has made special security arrangements. Paramilitary forces and Bihar Police personnel have been deployed at every polling station. Additional forces have been deployed at sensitive and highly sensitive booths. The district administration states that the safety of voters is a top priority. Strict action will be taken against those who spread rumors or mischief.
