The Election Commission will initiate the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Chhattisgarh starting Tuesday. Consequently, the BJP has organized a significant meeting on Wednesday at the Kushabhau Thakre premises in Raipur. Attendees will include BJP’s National Joint General Secretary Shiv Prakash, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, state ministers, MPs, MLAs, and district presidents.

The organized meeting will address the various rules and processes to provide party members with comprehensive discussions on SIR. There will be two main objectives to clarify about SIR for the public and to rebut the alleged misinformation by the Congress.

State BJP General Secretary Naveen Markandey said Congress is creating confusion around SIR, and the BJP will educate the public so they can see through it. The SIR process is being conducted by the Election Commission in approximately a dozen states. The BJP is following up on directives from its national leadership to hold these meetings across states. Shiv Prakash is slated to arrive from Delhi to conduct the session in Raipur on November 5.
