A devastating incident happened in Mhow, Indore, on Monday evening when a passenger bus went off the road and fell into a deep gully, killing three people, including two women, and injuring many others. The incident occurred at Bherughati when the bus lost control after it collided with a car and the two vehicles fell into a gorge. There were reportedly over three dozen passengers on the bus.

Rescue efforts on the site were on time using cranes to take out trapped passengers. The injured passengers were taken to M.Y. Hospital and neighboring health centers; they are in stable condition.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav shared deep sorrow for the loss and announced the compensation of ₹2 lakh for the families of each victim of the accident from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He also ordered free medical treatment for all the injured.

In a post on X, Dr. Yadav prayed for the departed souls and for their families to have the strength. A thorough investigation has also been ordered for the accident.
