After an impressive box office opening, Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma, which released during Diwali, is starting to slow down in its second week. So far, the film has made ₹120.05 crore over its 13 days of release, which, while down from its initial impressions, is still a decent hold as we come off the festive weekend.

On its second Sunday, Thamma brought in ₹4.25 crore, equivalent to its Saturday. With its strong opening, the film is the second-highest opener in Maddock Films horror-comedy franchise (behind Stree 2) and Ayushmann’s highest opening day, outpacing Dream Girl 2’s ₹10.69 crore.

By the end of its first six shows, Thamma was able to stand at double digit daily collections with Diwali and positive word of mouth. As the week went on, daily collections began to taper off regularly. After tapering off, the film remained strong by any normal standard, especially in relation to the seasons other Bollywood films. Industry sources attributed the films weekly performance to the combination of humor and horror inducing a continued draw in metropolitan cities.
