Lucknow: The sacred Joda Sahib of the “Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra,” a symbol of the Sikh community’s faith, received a grand welcome in Lucknow. This yatra is linked to the sacred Joda Sahib of the tenth Guru of the Sikh community, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and Mata Sahib Kaur, which is considered a very sacred symbol of the Sikh faith. During the event, the Chief Minister said that the Guru tradition has given India not only faith but also the ideals of protecting, serving, and sacrificing the nation. He said that it is our responsibility to preserve this heritage and pass on its inspiration to future generations. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri was also present at the event.
At a ceremony held at the Yahiyaganj Gurudwara in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath listened to the Guruvani and honored the Yatra members by tying a turban on them. The Gurudwara Committee welcomed CM Yogi by presenting him with a robe and a memento. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in our tradition, it is said, “Jithe jaaye bahey mera Satguru, so thaan suhava Ram raje.” Meaning, wherever the holy feet of Guru Maharaja fall, that place becomes as sacred and holy as Ramrajya. He said that this Yatra connects us to the glorious Guru tradition, which gave a new direction to India’s culture, courage, and spirit of sacrifice.
The Chief Minister said that for nearly two hundred and fifty years, the sacred footprints of Guru Maharaj, which were previously in Pakistan, a part of undivided India, are now being installed in Patna Sahib. This journey, which began in Delhi, is instilling a sense of respect and pride for the Guru tradition throughout the country. He said that the Yahiaganj Gurdwara in Lucknow is also special because the memories of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj are associated with this place. This Gurdwara is a symbol of our shared faith and national unity.
