Janjgir-Champa: The District Task Force has launched a major crackdown on illegal mining and transportation of minerals across the district. A total of 31 vehicles were seized during the operation, including 25 tractors, two heavy vehicles, and four JCBs.
During the operation, it was discovered that the vehicles were illegally transporting sand. This action was taken in accordance with the Chief Minister’s stated intention and “zero tolerance” policy against illegal sand mining and transportation.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will be on a tour of Korba and Jashpur today. He will leave Raipur at 1:30 pm and first reach Korba, where he will attend a program organized at Agrasen Bhawan. The Chief Minister will then leave Korba at 3:30 pm and travel to his home district, Jashpur. He will reach the Chhath Ghat in Duldula, Jashpur, and participate in the Chhath Mahaparva program. After the program, the Chief Minister will spend the night at his private residence, Village Bagiya.
Weather Update of Chhattisgarh
The weather in Chhattisgarh is set to change due to the depression in the Bay of Bengal turning into a cyclonic storm. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds with speeds of up to 60 to 80 km per hour are expected in all districts of southern Chhattisgarh tomorrow, October 28th. Heavy rain is also expected in some areas. Strong winds and heavy rain are also expected on October 29th.
