An outrageous event has come out in Bhagalpur, Bihar, during the ongoing Assembly elections. BJP leader Vivekanand Prasad, also referred to as Bablu Yadav, was shot on Friday in the TNB Law College Lane, under the Barari police station, as stated by Bhagalpur DSP, Ajay Kumar Chaudhary. This was the case as Yadav was walking outside his house when he was attacked. It was reported by eyewitnesses that the alleged shooters were a local resident, Suraj Tanti, and his accomplices, who fired two rounds at Yadav, leaving him critically wounded.
People of the area at once drove the BJP leader to the Mayaganj Hospital, where he remains under treatment. Primary research indicates that the assault could have been brought about by a past quarrel. DSP Chaudhary described that a quarrel that happened a few days ago was between a local fruit street peddler, Dewanand and Suraj Tanti. Bablu Yadav had reported the fight to the police, and Dewanand was temporarily detained. Officials think that this past altercation could have inspired Tanti to attack Yadav. The incident has been captured on CCTV on the neighbouring cameras and taken by the police. Inquiries are also being done, and raids are being made to arrest the attackers.
Delhi Police Crime Branch, in conjunction with Bihar Police, had a huge overnight operation on Thursday in Rohini. In the process, four gang members belonging to the notorious Ranjan Pathak group were killed. The accused (25) Ranjan Pathak, Bimlesh Mahto, also known as Bimlesh Sahni (25), Manish Pathak (33) and Aman Thakur (21) were suspects in various cases, including murder and robbery with a gun in Bihar. The operation was carried out at the time of around 2:20 AM at Dr Ambedkar Chowk and Pansali Chowk of Bahadur Shah Marg, following the intelligence given out by the police that the gang was intending to perform a major criminal act before the Bihar elections.
