The Multiplex chain PVR INOX has declared on a national film festival to aid the film legacy of Shah Rukh Khan before his 60 th birthday. The special presentation will include some of the most memorable movies of the superstar and it will last two weeks, starting on October 31, in over 75 theatres in 30 cities.

As it is stated in the official poster and announcement, his six most renowned movies include Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na, Dil Se, Devdas, Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Jawan. The selected pieces are a representation of various periods of his career that brings to light his transformation as a romantic hero to a multi-skilled superstar.

In a press release, Shah Rukh Khan, the recent winner of the National award in his performance in Jawan, said that he was grateful and nostalgic. He termed the initiative as a beautiful reunion and said, “Cinema has always been my home and seeing these movies on the big screen is like a beautiful reunion. These films are not my narratives only but those of the audience who have fondly consumed them during the past 33 years.”

He went on to say, I am thankful to PVR INOX to be sharing this adventure with this much love, and I am thankful to Red Chillies Entertainment, my creative home, and they have constantly believed in stories that unite us all. I want everyone who attends to experience the happiness, the songs, the feelings, and the magic of films that we were sharing together.

The movie festival is parallel to the prelude to his landmark birthday on the 2 nd of November. According to industry observers, the event is not merely a celebration of one of the largest film stars in India, but also a tactical move to get the audience back to the theatres with all-time classics.

The festival is likely to have fans of all ages and generations as the screenings will take place in large cities and smaller ones.
