Raipur. The Chhattisgarh government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, continues to deliver a decisive blow to Naxalism as a result of its strong will, sensitive policies, and the sustained efforts of security forces. A total of 27 active Maoists, including those carrying a reward of ₹50 lakh, surrendered today in Sukma district. This not only marks a major step toward ending Naxal violence but also marks the beginning of a new era of trust, security, and development in the Bastar region.

Chief Minister Sai said that the surrender of Maoists active at various levels, including hardcore Naxalites from PLGA Battalion No. 1, is direct evidence of the success of the state government’s “Naxalite Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025” and the “Niyad Nella Nar Scheme.” This change has been made possible by the government’s sensitive initiatives, the continuously establishing of security camps, and the growing public trust in the administration in forest areas.

The CM further added, “The surrender of 60 Naxalites, including the notorious Maoist Politburo member Mallojula Venugopal Rao alias Sonu, in Gadchiroli is a decisive blow to the Naxalite ideology. Our valiant security forces are fighting this battle day and night with indomitable courage and are achieving success.” Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the government has shown the way to honorably integrate those who have given up their guns into the mainstream. The government’s goal is not only to end Naxalism, but to establish lasting peace and development in those areas. Those areas that were once shrouded in fear and violence are now taking a new direction in dialogue, education, roads, health, and employment.

The state police force, DRG, CRPF, Cobra, Special Task Force (STF), and other security agencies, through their indomitable courage, restraint, and strategic acumen, have brought this conflict to a decisive turn. Congratulating all security forces for this success, the Chief Minister said that their courage, discipline, and dedication have established an atmosphere of trust in Bastar. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, India is moving rapidly toward the goal of a “Naxal-free nation.” The Chhattisgarh government is moving forward with complete devotion and dedication to this national resolve.
