Women’s World Cup 2025, IND W vs PAK W: India defeated Pakistan by 88 runs on Sunday in their second match of the Women’s World Cup 2025. With this victory, the Indian team reached the top of the group table with four points from two matches.
In this match played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first, and there were no handshakes at the toss. India reached the target by scoring 247 runs in 50 overs. Harleen Deol top-scored with 46 runs. In reply, Pakistan were all out for 159 runs in 43 overs. Sidra Amin top-scored for Pakistan with 81 runs.
India’s bowling attack included Kranti Gaur and Deepti Sharma, who took three wickets each, while Sneh Rana took two. India’s excellent bowling and composed batting easily defeated Pakistan. Fast bowler Kranti Gaur was named Player of the Match, taking three wickets for 20 runs.
With this victory, the Indian team continued its unbeaten record against Pakistan in ODIs. So far, the two teams have met in 12 ODIs, with India winning every single one. The two teams have faced each other five times in the World Cup, with India emerging victorious each time.
This victory also aligns with the men’s team’s performance. Previously, the Indian men’s cricket team defeated Pakistan in three consecutive matches in the Men’s Asia Cup 2025 on September 14, 21, and 28. This consistent success has further boosted the Indian team’s morale, and the team is now emerging as a strong contender for the upcoming matches.
